DSC_1720 The Clwydian Hills provide some wonderful trail terrain – with plenty for the beginner who can practise their skills on gently graded trails that get high enough to attain wonderful views, and enough to interest hardened trail runners with some fearsome climbs and technical single track!

Trail runners experience amazing residual fitness benefits that include improved joint strength and stability, usage of a greater range of muscles than when road running, the less responsive terrain is also kinder on the joints and the energy expenditure (calories burned) is significant. It is the most natural outdoor workout there is, and in our opinion, the most rewarding.
